Kusumanchi – Restoration of Kakatiya Temples

Kusumanchi, located in the Khammam district of Telangana, is a historic town renowned for its ancient temples built during the Kakatiya dynasty. It is home to two iconic 11th-century Shiva temples—Sri Ganapeshwaralayam and Mukkanteshwaralayam—constructed by the Kakatiya rulers.

Sri Ganapeshwaralayam Temple: Located in Kusumanchi, Telangana, this 12th-century temple reflects the grandeur of Kakatiya-era architecture, featuring large mandapas and an enormous Shiva Lingam.

Mukkanteshwaralayam: A Trikuta-style Shiva temple also in Kusumanchi, it showcases stunning stone carvings and represents divine unity. Built without mortar, it highlights ancient engineering skills.
